This year is the Ibiza Jazz Festival 30th edition

For a long week-end Ibiza becomes the jazz music temple
This musical event will take place from the 5th to the 9th of September in the historical center of Ibiza town,
its rhythms and melodies will resound in Dalt Vila during some magical nights.
Balearic Jazz will open the festival
The festival will open on Wednesday 5th of September in Plaça Sotavila.
At 22:00 the free concert of Pere Arguimbau, a guitarist from Menorca, who studied in the famous Taller de Músics in Barcelona.
A week-end of great artists
The peak of the festival will be on Saturday 8th of September in the Baluarte de Santa Llúcia.
This large bastion of the fortified city wall will be the scenery for the sextet of the bass player Anders Fjeldsted performance: the band has won the first prize of the group contest in the Getxo International Jazz Festival 42nd edition the last 8th of July.
Balearic Jazz : Pere Arguimbau & the Big Band Ciutat d’Eivissa.
The group of Anders Fjeldsted is composed by: Oilly Wallace (alto saxophone), Rolf Sorensen (trumpet), Soren Host (tenor saxophone), Artur Tuznik (piano) and Henrik Holst (drums).
Eli Degibri will be the international guest of the festival: he was invited by the United Nations to the 1st International Jazz Day.
The international star of the festival
Saturday night will follow, always in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Dalt Vila, with the quartet of the sought-after saxophone player Eli Degibri, a talented musician and composer from Israel.
Sílvia Pérez Cruz will sing her classics and some inedit songs.
A goodbye in style
The initiative closes on the 9th of September in the Reina Sofia Park of Ibiza with the show “Vestida de nit” by Silvia Pérez Cruz, at 21:30.
